Gigliato (Silver, 28 mm, 3.81 g, 7 h), circa 1348. ✠ DVX:IAn[...]DЄVS:PTAGT Doge seated facing on throne decorated with lions, holding scepter in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. Rev. ✠ COnRADUS•REX:ROmAnORVm Cross fleurée with fleur-de-lis in each angle. Lunardi S11. Rare. A beautifully toned example. Some marks and with an edge crack, otherwise, very fine.

Ex Leu Web Auction 19, 26-28 February 2022, 3503 and previously from the collection of R. Wightman, formed from the late 1970s to the early 2000s.
